On June, the 6th, 2016 in our Technical High School a dissemination and training conference took place. It was organized by the group of DroneTeam project. We wanted to make our students familiar with some essential issues connected with drones and other UAVs.

Our aim was also to show how we can learn a lot and wider our horizons in an easy and what is more important, fascinating way. We were delighted to host among all the other guests: the Head of the Education Department of Zabrze city – Ewa Wolnica, the President of the Education Department of City Board – Janusz Bieniek, Didactics and Training Counselor for the Vocational Subjects – Lucyna Kubicka. The conference was officially started by our guest – the Head of the Education Department – together with the Headmaster of our school Miroslaw Mendecki.

The first lecture was dedicated to the UAV and the future of such projects. It was being told by Roman Czyba, an academic teacher of Silesian University of Technology who established High Flyers a students Scientific Association of UAVs. They encouraged all the participants to take part in creating some projects, also those useful for other than scientific purposes. They also presented the achievements of their projrcts, but also discussed problems met whie designing, assembly or programming the drones.

We also had a wonderful opportunity to see their projects as they presented a range of their vehicles built in their Association. Another really important subject discussed by Custom Copters manager, Michal Hecel was safety and legal issues connected with using the airspace by UAV.

At the end of the conference, Malgorzata Jurczyk presented DroneTeam project, its activities, achievements and goals for the future.
